Greytown Heritage Trust Annual Lecture

SACRED HEART CHURCH, MAIN STREET, GREYTOWN
Thursday 11 December 2025, 7pm

Dr Susette Goldsmith will give this year’s annual lecture. Susette is a seasoned and expert campaigner for trees, particularly those at risk and often those in urban settings. An independent writer and editor and adjunct research fellow at the Stout Research Centre, she is widely published. Suzette’s research interest is natural heritage and she has a new book to be published in November entitled Capital Trees. If you haven’t already read it, browsing in Mrs Blackwell’s bookshop, you may well come across Susette’s edited compilation Tree Sense: Ways of thinking about trees. This volume is a compilation of essays, art and poetry by artists, activists, ecologists and advocates discussing the many ways in which humans need trees.
